11 Vegan Restaurants in Miami You Must Visit in 2024

Over ten years ago I visited the gorgeous Miami Beach area, the land of pristine white sand, glorious sun-filled days, and epic nightlife, but I don’t recall a bustling vegan food scene. Back then I was just a vegetarian, and that was even hard. The level of affordable creative cuisine landed at nachos and grilled cheese; I left wanting more!

Fast forward to 2024, the vegan food scene in Miami is red hot. You generally hear about the fantastic vegan options in New York City, LA, Seattle, but Miami rarely graces these lists. Whether you’re looking for the fresh crunch of a Thai-inspired noodle salad or the sweet decadence of artfully crafted pastries, you will find it! Before your next trip to Miami, check out these fantastic vegan restaurants.

The Best Vegan & Vegan-Friendly Restaurants in Miami

#1 Plant Theory Creative Cuisine

723 Lincoln Ln N, Miami Beach, FL 33139 (Inside the Lincoln Rd. Eatery)
Tucked inside the bustling Lincoln Rd. Eatery makes it easy to skip right on by and not realize you’re missing out on some of the most creative vegan and gluten-free cuisine on Miami Beach! The small shop might not have a large footprint, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in nutrient-dense flavor.

The tongue-in-cheek menu features a seafood-inspired, Don’t Worry, Be Crabby burger, Taco’ About it salad, and many other fan favorites. Whatever you decide to devour, add on a gluten-free empanada; these house-made flaky pastries are filled with an addictive assortment of fillings; it’s hard to eat just one!

#2 Manna Life Food

80 NE 2nd Ave Alfred Dupont Building, Miami, FL 33132
Located right in the heart of downtown Miami serving up all-day breakfast, guilt-free sweets, superfood arepas, savory bowls, and so much more! Oh, and did I mention they are 100% gluten-free and vegan? This hot spot is one of the few of its kind in the downtown business district and has reinvented what traditional breakfast and lunch dishes look like. Skip basic peanut toast and grab a peanut butter and jelly arepa! Want a refreshing seafood-inspired dish?

Don’t miss their coconut ceviche loaded with young coconut meat, fresh veggies, lime-passion fruit juice, and served with a toasted arepa. If you’re feeling particularly peckish, dive into one of their never-ending smoothie bowls! These giant bowls are filled to the brim with a delicious assortment of fresh fruits and veggies. If you’re looking for a smoothie bowl recommendation, I suggest the Power Bowl filled with sweet and tangy Soursop—a favorite fruit in the Caribbean and Florida!

#3 Love Life Café

545 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127
The watercolor walls aren’t the only creative thing at this vegan hot spot. Buzzing with yogis on their way to and from practice and friends catching up over a plate of fries loaded with cheese and walnut taco meat — the creative menu attracts a diverse palate of diners.

Those looking for something delicious will have no worries — from superfood arepas stuffed with shredded jackfruit and plantains to a dose of good karma with their favorite superfood salad. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious food will make you want to relax, grab a book from their small library, and stay awhile.

#4 Minty Z

3206 Grand Ave, Miami, FL 33133
Right on the edge of downtown Coconut Grove, this unassuming Asian fusion restaurant will knock your socks off with its diversity of Asian flavors infused with hints of Mediterranean and American.

I suggest you start with an order of BBQ Jackfruit Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice wrapped lotus leaf filled with BBQ jackfruit) or a warm beets and endive salad (blood-orange, yuzu-sesame puree, and puffed black rice) — this isn’t your basic salad, it’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory Asian and Mediterranean flavors. After those two delicious bites, head over to their veggie section and fill the table with an assortment of Lemon-Miso Yu Choy, General Tso’s Brussels, and Wok-Fried Wild Mushrooms.

#5 PLANTA Queen

3015 Grand Ave Suite 201, Coconut Grove, FL 33133
To be honest, I wasn’t sure I was fancy enough to stroll into this chic vegan hot spot with its glittering metallic walls and plush pink velvet chairs, with a wide-open patio overlooking the classy shops that line downtown Coconut Grove. This spot is truly a place to be seen.

Luckily, I threw caution to the wind and proceeded to see what all the fuss was about, and I couldn’t have felt more welcome!  The atmosphere here is amazing, and the food is delicious. The Asian menu features many traditional favorites — sushi and noodles but elevated. The fresh Pad Thai slaw is presented obscurely in a coffee can which is lifted away to reveal a mountain of crunchy fresh veggies and kelp noodles paired with a smooth peanut sauce with a spicy kick of ginger.

#6 Full Bloom Vegan

1670 James Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Hidden in its own secret garden, away from the noise of South Beach, it’s easy to not even realize you’re wandering past delicious gourmet vegan cuisine. The lunch and dinner menus vary just slightly — lunch offers a variety of small plates and sandwiches, while dinner pulls out all the stops with carefully curated plates of spicy eggplant, marinated tempeh asado, and much more.

Just make sure you save room for a slice of their house-made mango passion fruit cheesecake — with a hint of cinnamon to balance the sweetness, it is sure to be smile-inducing.

As soon as you step into this charming café, your nose is greeted with freshly baked chocolate cake and other goodies that immediately make your mouth water.  You might think, yea, but it’s probably not gluten-free! Well, my friends, you’re in for a real treat because everything at this delectable shop is 100% vegan and gluten-free!

Aside from a jaw-dropping assortment of bread, cakes, and other sweet treats, they also have a savory menu filled with breakfast sandwiches, burgers, and more. Their breakfast sandwich is the best way to kick off your day—the vegan sausage patty is sandwiched between their house-made sweet potato buns that are so fluffy and moist that you won’t believe they are really gluten-free.

#11 L’Artisane Bakery & Bistro

2526 Ponce de Leon, Coral Gables, FL 33134
I promise the first words out of your mouth after stepping into this Parisian-inspired café will be, OMG! Even if you’re a 30-minute (or more!) drive away, you need to prioritize a stop at this distinctive patisserie.

Obviously, the pastries are the stars, and while the croissants aren’t gluten-free,  there is an entire dedicated gluten-free dessert section along with many brunch (don’t miss the tiramisu waffles) and lunch options. But back to the desserts, the passion fruit mousse bomb was as delicious as it was enticing — the eye-catching cherry red glaze was cracked to reveal layers of creamy mousse and moist cake.

It was honestly one of the best desserts I have ever had; I should’ve brought Tupperware to pack a few extras for the road!
