Los Angeles has everything — iconic Hollywood glamour, gorgeous beaches, and of course, one of the best vegan food scenes in the world! Seriously, I found everything that I could possibly want and more in LA, including epic sweet vegan treats!

There are many vegan and vegan-friendly bakeries, ice cream shops, donuts, and more in LA — once you see all the options, your first thought will be, OMG, I don’t have enough time!

It’s true unless you’re planning to move there or live in LA, there is no way you’ll make it everywhere, but this fantastic lineup will help you prioritize where to start your sugar rush first!

You can’t skip this spot! This fantastic French vegan bakery creates an outstanding assortment of light and buttery pastries to tantalize your senses! You’ll find a whole lineup of perfectly golden croissants from traditional to exotic charcoal and raspberry, as well as cream-filled Danish, beautiful cakes, cinnamon rolls, and much more. In addition to sweet options, they also have savory pastries — it’s hard to say no to a jalapeno cheese roll!

This is also one of the best spots in Los Angeles for vegan breakfast options!

#2 Just What I Kneaded

It’s going to be hard to walk out of this charming vegan bakery and only buy one thing! Their pastry case is always filled with popular sweets and seasonally-inspired options like fluffy cinnamon rolls covered in cream cheese frosting, brown sugar pop tarts, chocolate peppermint brownie cookies, cinnamon sugar twisty donuts, and more!

On top of the sugary sweets, they also serve breakfast and lunch!

#3 Erin McKenna’s Bakery

If you’re vegan and gluten-free, this spot has your name all over it! This bubblegum pink bakeshop proves that you don’t need gluten to have a sweet time!

Their menu features a little bit of everything — buttercream-topped cupcakes, chocolate-dipped cookie sandwiches, donuts, and custom cakes. They also have fluffy bagels and biscuits you must not miss!

#4 Cake Girl

If you’re vegan and gluten-free or soy-free (or both), this bakeshop will be your happy place! You’ll find a massive lineup of delicious cupcakes like strawberry churro, cookies and cream, and cream-filled (think a Hostess cupcake but better), along with baked donuts, cookies, and brownies. They also offer custom cakes if you’re looking to go big!

#5 Bakers Bench

Almost everything at this little Chinatown bakeshop is vegan! You’ll always find a mouthwatering lineup of light and fluffy vegan croissants and cookies. They accept online orders for a small selection of items, but you’ll find more in person. The shop is currently only open Friday – Sunday.

#6 Cinnaholic

Would you believe there is a shop dedicated to vegan cinnamon rolls?! This jaw-dropping cinnamon roll shop has taken everyone’s favorite simple morning treat and made it epic!

If you’re not into creating your own sweets, start with one of their signature cinnamon rolls like the cookie monster (cream cheese frosting with cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce) or go wild and create your own with a huge list of frostings and toppings.

#7 Donut Friend

Donuts are absolutely your friend when they’re vegan! This LA vegan donut shop fries up an incredible lineup of decadent donuts daily. You’ll find a creative mix of flavors like Youth Brulee (Bavarian cream-filled donut topped with bruleed sugar), Green Teagan and Sara (Matcha green tea glazed donut with black sesame seeds), and Custard Front Drive (Bavarian cream-filled, chocolate-topped donut).

They also have donut holes, better known as small Brown Bites, in case you want a small treat!

The dessert case at this sweet shop is filled with fudgey brownies, chocolate chunk cookies, decadent blondies, but the sweets don’t stop there! In addition to a delightful bakery lineup, they also have ultra creamy and irresistible milkshakes and sundaes! I don’t know how anyone could say no to their Chocolate Tripp — a warm brownie topped with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce! I bet you’re drooling!

Oh, la, la! One more macaron shop! This patisserie is tres chic and vegan-friendly! You’ll find this spot right in the heart of bougie Beverly Hills! In between window shopping and celeb spotting, stop here to enjoy beautiful vegan and gluten-free macarons and a selection of vegan chocolate pastries.

The macaron flavor lineup is terrific; I suggest you get a box to sample a variety of flavors like passion fruit, coffee, rose, salted caramel, and more.

This vegan-friendly ice cream shop always has a creative mix of globally-inspired flavors that might give you wanderlust — don’t expect anything boring or lackluster here! You can’t go wrong with a scoop of sticky rice and mango or passionfruit cacao inspired by Brazil!

#14 Yoga-urt

If you love soft serve, you can’t miss this vegan creamery! You’ll always find six of the creamiest soft serve flavors swirling when you walk in their door, with favorite flavors like salted caramel Zen, key lime, and peanut butter prana (they make over 30 different flavors). #15 Whipped Urban Dessert Lab

This vegan ice cream shop started in NYC and created a sugar storm with its one-of-a-kind Oat-Milk Ice Crème! Your adventure here starts with choosing a base, either Sweet Creme, chocolate, or a Whipped Twist (a combo of both) and from there you choose a delicious sauce to stuff inside the ice cream and finally a crumb coating to cover it! If deciding what to get is too challenging, no worries they have pre-created Fusions that are all mouthwatering!
