The weekend brunch menu (available Saturday and Sunday) offers everything from French toast with berry compote to avocado flatbread — whatever you choose, it will go great with their endless Mimosas!

#2 The VSPOT

You can’t leave Brooklyn without getting your hands on one of the VSpot’s house-made arepas topped with an irresistible mix of Colombian red beans, carne molida (or mushrooms for a gluten-free option), guac, and more! Aside from delicious Arepas, Brooklyn’s oldest Latin vegan restaurant has a killer menu packed with house-made empanadas, loaded burritos, Colombian fried chicharron, and more!

Get ready to enjoy a flavor rainbow! Ras is the first organic, plant-based Ethiopian restaurant in NYC and is ready to delight you with classic dishes and some seasonal favorites. Their lunch menu features gorgeous bowls filled with slowly simmered chickpeas, collards, stewed tomatoes, and more. Their menu at dinner flips to include traditional platters served with Injera or rice. These are perfect for sharing! But if you’re not a fan of sharing, no worries; they have plenty of small bites and entrees to check out.

You absolutely can’t go wrong with one of their house-made empanadas and an order of loaded chilaquiles!

#6 Ital Kitchen

These French-inspired vegan-friendly Ital eats are created to heal and create happiness — who couldn’t use a little of that?! You’ll find unique dishes like The Noxtails (portobello and diced shiitake mushrooms, butter beans in coq au vin sauce) to spicy Ital veggie jerk chicken.

With a name like that, how can you not want to check it out!? This casual spot is creating a cult-like following with its creative sandwich lineup featuring its house-made meats. Deciding what to get is a challenge.  You could be a Sexy Devil (seitan ham, turkey, Rind cheddar, pickled jalapenos, sauerkraut, satanic sauce on a focaccia hero) or an Evil Twin (seitan roast beef, Rind cheddar, dill pickles, tangy slaw, mayo on a potato onion roll) — and that’s just the start!

#11 Greedi Vegan

Being greedy is usually not a great personality trait unless you come to this casual vegan spot! Their delicious lineup of vegan comfort eats could keep you here for days, and I bet you’d still not get to the end of it. First-time visitors shouldn’t miss their fried chick’n soul bowl served with creamy mac-n-cheese, sauteed kale, and sweet potatoes. On top of that, you’ll find fried dumplings, spicy chick’n bites, loaded cheese fries, and more!

#12 Screamer’s Pizza

Can you really go to NYC without sampling their iconic pizza? I don’t think so! This classic pizzeria is tossing up epic pies covered in garlic oil, chorizo, almond ricotta, and much more. This vegan burger spot has created a cult following with its tongue-in-cheek creations, and you no longer have to trek to Atlanta to test them out! The deli case is lined with various irresistible kinds of cheese and peppery meats to create a killer charcuterie board, or you can go for one of their giant sandwiches. You can’t go wrong choosing the Nashville hot chick’n, loaded croissant sandwich, or the saucy meatball hero! If you’re on the run, pop in for a coffee and pastry to keep you fueled!

This vegan fast-food chain is absolutely next level and lucky for us, it’s sprinkled throughout the US! You’ll find the Brooklyn-based spot tucked inside Whole Foods serving up giant burgers, crispy chick’n, creamy milkshakes, and much more!
