Crisp mornings, pumpkin spice lattes, and colorful leaves signal the end of strappy sandal season and ushers in chic boot season! Or, at least that’s how I like to look at the changing of the seasons instead of sulking over the endless days of snow and freezing temperatures. If the season change provokes a shopping trip then it’s not that bad, right!? While it’s never hard to find shops with cute boots and booties, oftentimes they aren’t vegan but have no fear, vegan boots do exist! If you’re looking to refresh your fall and winter wardrobe and need some help on where to find your dream cruelty-free boots, then you’ve come to the right place! Check out this list of 12 places to find vegan boots just in time for fall (and, I guess winter too).

Many of these shops are completely vegan but a few just have vegan options (I included which in their description). It’s truly amazing to see the diversity of vegan footwear grow over the years. I can’t count the number of times I have said I remember when….

Another great California-based vegan company committed to kicking the moo out of its shoes! This budget-friendly and Peta-approved company have a small but effective lineup of boots for the fall and winter. If you’re in need of cute peep-toe booties for a date night, they’ve got that, want something with a little more protection from the weather? They’ve got that too! All their knee-high and ankle boot styles come in a variety of colors and styles that will fit nicely into any wardrobe.

What started out as a call to create a boot that was durable and supportive for troops after World War II has grown into a brand of creative and bold styles for the street. These creative kicks remind me of a souped-up pair of Converse sneakers, but you can do some serious walking in a pair of Palladiums, check out their soles! Aside from being chunky, the soles are designed with their own Paradrop technology, providing a cushioned step, which means extra comfort for your long walks! Not all of their boots are vegan, but they offer a large selection of boots and shoes in Men’s and Women’s styles that are—hooray!

One note, not everything is vegan, but their site lays out all of the vegan options very well.

Although this British brand is far from vegan, many of Dr. Martens’ classic lace-up, and platform-style boots have a vegan option! Whether you’re looking for a matte finish or want to turn heads with vegan patent leather (the cherry red looks particularly eye-catching), they’ve got it. All of their vegan boots are made with their iconic look and air-cushioned soles, these bad boys are built to last!

While this California brand isn’t 100% vegan, they do have a great selection of Peta-approved vegan boots, sneakers, heels, and more!
