Brammibal’s Donuts

Multiple locations across Berlin
100% Vegan Donuts

A whole shop dedicated to vegan donuts? Yes, please! Brammibal’s has taken Berlin by storm with their ever-rotating menu of inventive flavors — think Biscoff cream-filled, cookie dough-topped, and chocolate peanut butter fudge masterpieces. With multiple locations, you’re never too far from a sugar fix.

  • Bonus: some spots have carried gluten-free options in the past — I enjoyed a chocolate cake donut during my last visit but it varies from shop to shop! It’s basically a crime to visit Berlin and not try one of these amazing creations.
  • There are also Brammibal’s locations in Hamburg, in case you need a vegan donut fix there, too!

If you’re gluten-free, this is your spot. Located in Prenzlauer Berg, Jute Bäckerei specializes in gluten-free baking with many vegan options. Their offerings include hearty loaves of bread, fluffy muffins, and rich cakes (don’t miss the marble cake!). Ingredients are listed on their website and in the bakery, which is great if you need to avoid more than just gluten. It’s a safe and delicious haven for those with food sensitivities or allergies.

FREA Bakery

Gartenstraße 9, 10115 Berlin
Vegan-Friendly & Organic + Zero-Waste Focus

Once the sister to Berlin’s beloved fully vegan FREA restaurant, this stylish bakery still champions organic ingredients and zero-waste practices, but it’s no longer entirely vegan — so be sure to double-check before ordering. The menu features a selection of rustic sourdough, beautiful pastries, and rotating breakfast and lunch items. Despite the shift, it remains a great spot for tasty options.

Craving something cold and creamy? Balaram is the place to be in warmer months. This all-vegan ice cream shop offers so many fabulous rotating flavors made with oat and soy milk — think cheesecake, pistachio, hazelnut, and more. Even better: every single topping is free. Yes, free! Grab a cone and stroll through Friedrichshain with a smile.

  • Heads up: HappyCow says this spot is closed but I double checked reviews and it sure doesn’t appear that way! I am guessing maybe because it’s seasonal HappyCow got confused.
