Prague Vegan Bakery Guide: 6 Spots for Cake & Sweets

Like so many cities across the globe, the vegan scene in Prague keeps getting better and better. I remember (years ago) wandering the cobblestone streets and staring jealously at visitors with their golden Chimney cakes filled with all sorts of sweets.

To be fair, when I visited, there probably was a vegan bakery in Prague with a delicious Chimney cake, but back then, I wasn’t the savvy food-focused traveler like I am today. I remember thinking, oh, I’ll just get there and figure it out — why in the world would I do that?

Since you’ve pulled up this article, I am guessing you’re not that kind of traveler! So, let’s get to the sweet stuff and outline all the deliciously decadent vegan dessert spots you will visit.

Must Visit Vegan & Vegan-Friendly Bakeries in Prague

#1 Blue Vegan Pig Shop

Francouzská 240/76, 101 00 Praha 10-Vinohrady, Czechia
If your nose doesn’t lead you to this delightful vegan donut shop, your eyes will surely notice the bright pink sign! This is where donut magic happens in Prague but without all the icky animal products. You won’t find just boring ole plain donut holes here; this little shop makes a fantastic lineup of flavor combinations that will knock your socks off! Every week, they post their flavor lineup on Instagram, and you might find Boston cream, crème brulee (complete with a caramelized sugar glaze), blueberry and coconut, peanut butter and strawberry, and many more. I’d recommend that you at least get a half dozen!

#2 Krafin Bakery

Voroněžská 19, 101 00 Praha 10-Vršovice, Czechia
How about a Krafin instead of a croissant? Or, how about both? Well, at this plant-based bakery, you can sample traditional veganized pastries along with some unexpected sweets you won’t find anywhere else. The owners behind this cozy spot weren’t always planning to create a jaw-dropping vegan bakery, but when the former vegan café that once occupied the space closed, they started imagining what was possible. Lucky for all of us, their imagination ran away with them to some seriously delicious places.

You’ll find gorgeous croissants, Danish pastry, and even a rich chocolate ganache (or salted caramel) tartlet, but what really steals the show are their popular Krafins! The magical pastries are a croissant-like muffin filled with deliciousness like cream, salted caramel, chocolate, berries, and much more.

#3 MyRaw Café

Na Struze 5, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia
This isn’t exclusively a vegan bakery, but it has a fantastic lineup of options tucked away in its dessert case that you won’t want to miss! As you’ve probably already guessed, the unique draw for this spot is that everything is raw, gluten-free, and vegan! You can indulge here, knowing it’s a little better for you. Inside that dessert case, you’ll find slices of creamy cheesecake in delicious flavors like matcha, lavender citrus, and dark chocolate (both pair wonderfully with a latte). In addition to cheesecake, you might also find fudgy brownies, bars, mini tarts, and more! If you’re celebrating something, you should also know that they create custom cakes!

#4 Palo Verde

Žitná 45, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia
This hip little vegan café is tucked away inside the city’s only vegan hotel, Salvator Boutique Hotel, making it the ideal place to rest your head, wake up, and eat cake! Well, maybe you’ll want to start with breakfast and then get the cake — no judgment either way! Like MyRaw Café, Palo Verde isn’t just a vegan bakery in Prague — it’s a full-service café with amazing vegan desserts! Honestly, everything here is super photogenic and delicious; you’ll want to come multiple times. On the dessert side of things, you’ll find NY-style cheesecake, cupcakes, tiramisu, mini apple tartlets, and much, much more. Honestly, with one look, you’ll want to order everything!

#5 Share Sweet & Espresso Bar

Revoluční 18, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia
If you loved the cakes at Palo Verde, you have this spot to thank for them! This cozy plant-based patisserie (say that five times fast) is steps away from many of Prague’s iconic sights, making it the perfect spot to stop when you need a sugar boost! Their dessert case is always filled to the brim with stunning options like bright pink macarons filled with cream, luscious layered cakes, decadent fudgy bars, cheesecake, and much more. The tastiness doesn’t end with sweets; they also have a small food menu, stellar coffee and tea options, and more!

One important note: In addition to running Palo Verde, they also run Moment Bistro, which focuses on veganized Czech dishes.

#6 La Donuteria Praha Spalena

Spálená 23, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia
This is one of those spots that’s super eye-catching and Instagram-worthy, initially making me think they probably don’t have vegan options! Wrong! The European donut franchise perfected the art of making an ultra-fluffy yeast-raised vegan donut (they say they have a secret recipe) that they fill and top with peanut butter, coconut, caramel Lotus, raspberry, and more! One more fun tidbit: this spot was started by a former investment banker who realized people are obsessed with beautiful and tasty sweets — he traded banking for baking, and it seems he hasn’t looked back!
