Hola! Welcome to Costa Rica. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm today. With over half the country’s population living within its parameters, San Jose is an enjoyable city with intriguing museums and a dynamic atmosphere. If you arrive with time to spare, a good place to start exploring is the main plaza – perfect for some people watching. Artisan booths are common here and you never know when there’ll be a spontaneous art fair.

I’m solo, is there a single supplement?

Yes, the single supplement is $2,030. We can also try and room you with another single passenger if you’d like to save you some cash.

Is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance is required for the tour and must include emergency repatriation. We’re happy to provide you with a recommendation or help you book it. If you plan to include a cancel for any reason policy with the insurance, you must purchase it within 15 days of making the trip deposit. You will need to provide proof of insurance at the group meeting on day 1.

I have a friend who wants to come but they aren’t vegan. Will there be non-vegan food options?

We prioritize ensuring that vegan options are the focus for all included meals. Many places will have non-vegan options but those would be available to them at an additional cost. There are also a few meals that aren’t included and your friend could choose whatever they like then!

Do I need a visa to enter Costa Rica?

No, for purposes of tourism, US travelers may visit Costa Rica for up to 180 days without a visa.

What is the deadline to reserve my spot?

A non-refundable deposit (if you cancel it can be moved to another tour), is due by September 9, 2024 . Final payment for the trip is due October 9, 2024.

What’s not included in the tour price?

– Round-trip international airfare
– Possibly city taxes; sometimes, these are assessed at the hotels.
– Additional activities that aren’t included
– Additional meals that aren’t included
– Beer/wine/cocktails
– Gratuities
– Travel insurance

Are kids allowed on the tour?

Unfortunately, this itinerary isn’t suited for young kids. The age requirement is 16 years old and up.

Are Covid-19 or any other vaccines required?

Currently, Covid-19 vaccines aren’t required to enter Costa Rica.

For other vaccines, it’s best to consult your doctor before you travel. They may suggest that you are up to date on routine vaccines and others depending on your health.

Are there things I should keep in mind before booking a trip like this?

Yes!
– This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travelers. You will make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
– Some meals maybe more simple than others.

What are the booking terms?

Final Balance:
Final balance payment is require 60 days prior to travel.

Cancellation by the traveler:
Cancellation prior to 60 days; we will hold the deposit amount as a credit.
Cancellation 59 days or inside prior to travel will incur 100% cancellation fees
No shows will be treated as a cancellation and will incur 100% cancellation fees.
