Also, for the non-vegans to be so open to try everything and support your vegans was something I (we) needed. Day 1: Arrive in Bali

Meals included: Welcome dinner

Welcome to Bali! Upon arrival at Bali please make your way to the Golden Bird Lounge after clearing immigration. After you exit customs walk to the Golden Bird Lounge which is on the right side (around 50 meters from where
you exit customs). After meet with the driver, you will be transferred to your hotel in Ubud.

In the evening around 6:30 PM, join a welcome meeting and afterwards, enjoy a delicious dinner while connecting with fellow travelers, sharing excitement about the upcoming adventures.

Day 2: Ubud

Destination: Ubud
Meals Included: Breakfast. Lunch

Start the day with a guided walking tour around Ubud with your local leader (about 2.5 hours). Gain an insight into daily village life as you pass lush rice fields, an alang alang valley (type of wild grass used to make the roof of traditional buildings) and stop by a Balinese home for coffee. The tour ends in central Ubud, where you’ll have time to explore the many cafes, galleries and shops on your own.

In the evening, sit down and enjoy a traditional Kecak dance performance. Driven not by musical instruments, but by human chanting, this fascinating theatrical
performance is considered a highlight by many of our travelers.

Day 3: Ubud

Today you will have free program for the whole day. You can explore the streets, museums, shops and restaurants at your leisure. Try some activities such as Rafting, Rice Fields Soft Trekking, Balinese Dance Lesson, Temple Visit are also a nice thing to do.

Day 4: Ubud – Sidemen

Destination: Ubud – Sidemen
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Today you’ll explore the area from a different angle – from the saddle of a bike. Enjoy a 2.5-hour tour through backstreets, villages and rice fields. It’s a relatively easy ride – much of the route is downhill – and there will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photos or a brief rest. You’ll also stop to check out some small, intricately carved temples, before concluding your bike tour back in Ubud.

After refueling with lunch, head for the hills to the village of Sidemen, via private minivan. Set against a backdrop of Bali’s highest peak, Mt Agung, the peaceful village of Sidemen is proof that Bali still has some pockets that are untouched by tourism.

Day 5: Sidemen

Destination: Sidemen

Discover the art of Balinese cooking, with a delicious Vegan twist. Today, you will have an exciting experience and educational journey at the beautiful organic garden that will always be memorable. It starts with the garden tour where the guide will take you to explore the vast garden, explaining the uniqueness
and interesting facts about plantations, and of course to pick some fresh ingredients yourselves. After the garden tour, the chefs will guide you to cook a delicious 4-course menu consisting of Balinese dishes, made with Vegan
ingredients and using some traditional Balinese cooking utensils. Finish cooking, you will get to enjoy freshly cooked lunch with beautiful garden views surrounding you in a traditional hut, in the middle of the garden.

Afterwards, you will be exploring the village for approximately 2 hours through Sidemen’s rice terrraces, visiting the craftspeople of the local songket weaving industry, a traditional ‘bungkus’ lunch is included. The walk is a great
chance to take in the beautiful scenery.

Your morning is at leisure to immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of Sidemen. For the more adventurous, consider joining the optional Mt. Batur Sunrise Trekking tour, an exhilarating experience.

Before midday, check out from your Sidemen retreat as we embark on a scenic drive to the serene coastal town of Lovina. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take in the captivating views of the black sand beaches and calm
sea..

Special Information for Optional Activity
The summit trail starts more easily, while heading to the crater it climbs steeply with switchbacks over volcanic rocks and gravel. A good level of fitness is required. The path can be slippery, particularly after rain so good shoes are essential. Please bring your headlamp (we start at 3 AM) and a warm layer to wear at the summit. The climb may be cancelled during heavy rain and unsafe conditions.

After breakfast, embark on an exhilarating snorkeling tour to Menjangan Island (approx. 1.5 hours drive), renowned for its pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life. Pick your snorkeling gear and explore the vibrant underwater
world, swimming alongside colourful tropical fish and admiring the vibrant coral formations. The clear waters of Menjangan Island provide excellent visibility, making it a paradise for you.

Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to unwind with a rejuvenating yoga class. Find inner peace and relaxation while practicing yoga postures and

lush tropical rainforests. Prepare to be captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility of this natural gem, as the cool mist from the waterfall refreshes your senses. Continue to the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a floating marvel

An exciting day awaits as you head to Nusa Penida, a paradise of breathtaking landscapes. After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and taken to Sanur port, where you’ll board a boat to Nusa Penida.

Prepare to be mesmerized by the iconic Angel Billabong, the captivating Broken Beach, and the awe-inspiring Kelingking Beach, offering stunning views of the turquoise sea below. Experience the vibrant underwater world during a thrilling snorkeling session at GT Point and Wall Bay.

As the day’s adventures come to an end, you’ll return to your Sanur hotel, cherishing the memories of this island’s beauty.

I’m solo, is there a single supplement?

Yes, the single supplement is $1,000. We can also try and room you with another single passenger if you’d like to save you some cash.

Is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance is required for the tour and must include emergency repatriation. We’re happy to provide you with a recommendation or help you book it. If you plan to include a cancel for any reason policy with the insurance, you must purchase it within 15 days of making the trip deposit. You will need to provide proof of insurance at the group meeting on day one.

I have a friend who wants to come but they aren’t vegan. Will there be non-vegan food options?

We prioritize ensuring that vegan options are the focus for all included meals. Many places will have non-vegan options but those would be available to them at an additional cost. There are also some meals that aren’t included and your friend could choose whatever they like then!

Do I need a visa to enter Bali?

Yes, for most visitors to Bali/Indonesia, a tourist visa is required for entry. You can either apply for the visa in advance or on arrival at the airport. For additional information on the visa process, click here.

What is the deadline to reserve my spot?

A non-refundable deposit (if you cancel it can be moved to another tour), is due by June 26, 2024. Final payment for the trip is due July 26, 2024.

Are kids allowed on the tour?

Unfortunately, this itinerary isn’t suited for young kids. The age requirement is 16 years old and up.

Are Covid-19 or any other vaccines required?

Currently, Covid-19 vaccines aren’t required for entry to Indonesia.

For other vaccines, the CDC recommends ensuring that you’re up to date on routine vaccines and consult your doctor to assess your risk for certain diseases.

Are there things I should keep in mind before booking a trip like this?

Yes!
– We visit villages and small towns on this trip, where life is more conservative than in the tourist areas. You will need to bring clothes that allow your shoulders and knees to be covered for both men & women. At some hot springs you will need to wear a t-shirt and shorts over your swimwear.
– This is an active trip with plenty of hiking, biking, and snorkeling opportunities — a good level of fitness is essential.
– Sometimes during travel days snacks and meals might be more simple than when staying at specific resorts or visiting more tourist-friendly locations.

What are the booking terms?

Final Balance:
Final balance payment is require 60 days prior to travel.

Cancellation by the traveler:
Cancellation prior to 60 days; we will hold the deposit amount as a credit.
Cancellation 59 days or inside prior to travel will incur 100% cancellation fees
No shows will be treated as a cancellation and will incur 100% cancellation fees.
