Josh Boswell Butterworth

Josh is the wordsmith behind many of the stories, guides, and travel resources you’ll find across Veggies Abroad. A vegan copywriter and content creator originally from the UK, he now calls the mountains of northern Thailand home.

Through his copywriting company, VeganVerbs, Josh helps vegan businesses around the world find their voice and connect with the people they want to reach. He’s also the creator behind JoshUpNorth on TikTok, where he shares Shan culture and cuisine with more than 68,000 followers and offers a glimpse into what it’s really like to eat plant-based in a region where meat is often the default.

His curiosity about food, culture, and the stories that make a destination unique makes him a natural fit for Veggies Abroad, and the person we trust to help bring many of those stories to life.
