  • Amazing experience.

My husband is a vegan but I am not so I was a bit wary about joining this group. It was fabulous. The planning, the attention to detail, the food and the overall experience was far beyond all expectations. This was our first Vegan adventure but it will not be our last. Perfect vacation.

  • First time traveling with Veggies Abroad…

but certainly not the last. Initially, a tour of Portugal wasn’t on my list, but so happy I went. It was a nice mixture of the local food and cultural experiences along with a bit of personal time to explore on our own. My favorite part though was the people that Rebecca brought together in the group.

Is This Trip Right For You?

Japan is an incredible destination, but it’s also unique in its pace, culture, and way of traveling. This itinerary is active and includes a fair amount of walking, time on your feet, and navigating train stations, often on uneven surfaces, so comfortable shoes are a must. We’ll primarily use Japan’s efficient public transportation system, including trains and the bullet train, which is part of the experience but does require being comfortable moving through stations and handling your luggage. Packing light is highly recommended.

Accommodations in cities like Tokyo and Kyoto are typically compact, and while they are clean and thoughtfully designed, space may be more limited than what you’re used to. Japan also has a deeply respectful culture, so being mindful of local customs, like keeping noise low on public transport or removing shoes indoors, is important.
