itinerary map for a vegan tour through vietnam with veggies abroad
  • My recent trip to Thailand exceeded my expectations.

It was such a memorable and enjoyable adventure. Not only is Rebecca a great organizer (everything ran smoothly), but every hotel, restaurant, and excursion aligned with plant-based/vegan values. I really appreciated the small group tour dynamics which allowed the discovery of new foods and the many cultural experiences together into such a wonderful highlight of the trip

  • Traveling to Portugal with Veggies Abroad was an incredible adventure!

I was excited to be on a tour of like-minded people (Yeah vegans!), but I didn’t expect that it would be such a food experience. Every restaurant we ate at was a destination meal. The food was amazing! We ate five times a day most days.

Tour Highlights

  • Explore the beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay, a less traversed option to Halong Bay, on a private boat just for our veggie tribe.
  • Learn about the amazing work of two outstanding charities:
    • Save Vietnam Wildlife: Vietnam is considered the 16th most biodiverse country, but it’s ecosystems are rapidly declining due to over-exploitation. Save Vietnam Wildlife is dedicated to changing this by protecting endangered wildlife and conserving critical animal habitats.
    • Reaching Out Tea House: a non-government organization that supports the local deaf and mute community by providing employment and vocational training.
  • Go on a vegan food tour through the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
  • Visit Cu Chi Tunnels – the historic site where Vietnamese soldiers used as a shelter during wartime.
  • And, so much more!

Is This Tour For You?

  • Depending on where you’re coming from, the weather in Vietnam might be hotter and more humid than what you are used to. It’s important to stay hydrated; consider bringing electrolytes.
  • We will have two nights on a small boat, although the ride is usually very smooth, you may want to bring something if you’re prone to sea sickness.
  • The traffic in cities like Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Hanoi can be chaotic, with many motorcycles and scooters. Be cautious when crossing streets, as traffic often doesn’t stop for pedestrians.
