This morning, depart early for one of Bangkok’s most authentic floating markets, Tha Kha Floating Market. Stroll past bustling canals where vendors sell vibrant fruits, vegetables, and local goods from their boats, then board a paddleboat to explore the waterways more deeply. Along the way, stop at a riverside workshop to see how the area’s famous coconut palm sugar is produced.
Return to Bangkok and continue your journey with a visit to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, a dazzling royal complex filled with ornate structures that showcase Thailand’s magnificent architectural traditions.
In the afternoon, embark on a walking tour of historic Bangkok, beginning at Democracy Monument. Pass by the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall, glimpse the Royal Pavilion and Mahakan Fort, and ascend Wat Saket’s Golden Mount for sweeping views of the city. Along the way, visit Soi Baan Bat, where artisans handcraft traditional monk bowls, and admire the iconic Giant Swing, Wat Suthat, and the Devasthan Brahmin Shrines from the outside.
